October was filled to the brim.  We got lots of horse riding into the books, wine harvesting, fun with friends and family and the girls created and delivered a presentation about their lives as boat kids to a bunch of 5th-grade classes.  We were also able to help evacuate the horses when the Kincade fire was getting a little too close for comfort.  Happily, all was well, the wind died down and we were able to make it back to Calistoga just in time to celebrate Halloween.
